Prowling La Jolla for tail

Yellowtail that is.

Went out on my brother's boat out of Mission Bay for a beautiful day. The entire fleet was parked off the kelp patties outside of La Jolla.

When big fish get this far North, people come out of the woodwork. One guy looked like he was on Forest Gump's shrimp boat, throwing lines off the back.

While we were getting ready, I snapped the best pic ever of a dock cleat


Then I snapped a better one.


When we got out on the water we got nice Bonito and Barracuda, but no yellows.


Careful kids, those Barracuda got some nasty teeth.
