Coming up for air

I’m getting my ass kicked. Too much work, too much fun. What a month.

Interesting things since my last post that deserve their own post, but I haven’t gotten to:

Hook Up! Two day trip to Mexico for tuna and yellowtail. Slow fishing, good times.

Nothing much on the troll, but some nice action on floating kelp patty’s.

Really high quality fish, nice size too!

He did extract a small measure of revenge before coming onto the boat.

The following weekend was house building in Tijuana, Mexico slums. Awesome trip, lots of thoughts no time to put them down. Bottom line mission accomplished. What an eye opener to see how most of the world lives.

A really great team of guys.

The Barbon and Sanchez families are sleeping happy tonight under a real roof.

This weekend is finishing The Bed. Let’s hope it’s not 100 degrees in the garage again (although the paint dries fast)

Well, looks like it’s time to get busy, and the coffee is empty again. Man , I’ve got to wash that cup...

The ghost of Nike.

This lucky accident happened on the fourth, as I was setting up the camera for longer shutter speeds to capture fire in the sky. I set the camera on the ground, as somebody walked through.

A bed in the clouds

Today I started a loft bed for Little E’s 4th birthday (with a slide please Daddy & red and purple please). Tomorrow I’ll take some shots of me cutting lumber and dripping sweat. So far, so good.

After a stop at Home Depot, I’m a little worried about this beast falling through the floor. With and 10 2 x 6’s and a bakers dozen of 2 x 4’s please a full sheet of 3/4” birch ply, I’m pretty sure I know where I’ll be heading when the big one hits and California slides into the sea.
